- ★ ★ ★ ☆ ☆I had to travel to the Churchill Hospital for surgery. As I was travelling some distance, the Claddagh Guest House was recommended to me by a staff member. They said many people had used this guest house and rated it very highly. Another advantage was that it is situated only a 10 to 15 min level walk from the hospital. My wife and I could have not been made more welcome by Mena the lady running the establishment. What a lovely friendly personality she is. A real home from home atmosphere. The accommodation is spotless and nothing is too much trouble for her. The rooms are en-suite and have a flat screen TV. My wife enjoyed breakfast with other guests around a large table, so much more friendly than single small tables. The choice for breakfast is extensive, from fresh fruit or cereals to a full English if you wish. If you are visiting or have to attend the hospital, or indeed Oxford I would make this guest house your first choice for accommodation. I know that if I have to attend Oxford again, Mena at The Claddagh Guesthouse will be the first person I will call.By denniso%27connor, October 07, 2019
